Challenges and Choices
An innovative anti-bullying and substance abuse awareness message for students in middle and junior high schools.
"Challenges and Choices" is an upbeat, motivating, and inter-active program for kids in middle and junior high schools.
Because the first real significant increase in drug and alcohol use is just after the 6th grade, this presentation goes one step beyond the elementary school program by giving the students an emotional introduction to one of the painful effects of drug abuse, babies born addicted. This program also features a game show and live music. Like the elementary program, they show how bullying and harassing can hurt others.
Finally, the kids are a part of identifying activities, organizations, and hobbies that they can be involved in as well as involve their friends to help them learn to make positive choices and avoid negative behavior such as bullying, drug, alcohol, tobacco use and youth violence.
